My professional background is in academia; next to being a freelance translator and interpreter, I am also a teaching assistant of philosophy at the Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor.I have an MA in English literature and philosophy, currently I am also in the final stages of completing a PhD in philosophy and an MA in translation and interpretation. My experience in translation and interpreting are mostly connected to academia - I have translated several scientific articles (humanities, medicine) that were published in peer-reviewed journals, edited and proofed a 400+ page manuscript, etc. I am particularly interested in social sciences and law, but I also enjoy translating marketing and promotional material, where the imaginative background of English literature and philosophy definitely prove to be useful. During my translation and interpreting study, I completed my translation practice at the Translation and Interpretation Division, Secretariat-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.I am also interested in anything related to fitness and health!
